Training cancellation policy
Cancellation due to low class enrollment
Occasionally, OCLC Western must cancel a class session due to low enrollment. Classes have enrollment minimums and, in the event that minimum enrollment is not fulfilled, OCLC Western reserves the right to cancel the training session. We will notify all affected participants as soon as possible prior to the session date but no later than one week before the class is scheduled. OCLC Western only bills participants after a class is held.
Training confirmations
Registrants will receive an automatic e-mail confirmation acknowledging receipt of their training registration at the time they register. This automatic e-mail is NOT a confirmation that the class will be held. The automatic e-mail does, however, list the class fee and can be used as a receipt for purposes of reimbursement through the registrant's institution.
OCLC Western staff will send a FINAL confirmation e-mail message prior to the scheduled class date to verify that the class will be held. This message includes details regarding time, location, driving directions and parking information or, for online classes, logon information.
Travel arrangements for training
OCLC Western is not responsible for personal travel costs or arrangements that are made in order to attend a training class.
Cancellation by you
If you need to cancel your registration for a class, please let OCLC Western know as soon as possible. Early notification allows us to extend space to another member. In most cases, if you must cancel your registration or fail to attend, you will not be charged. However, in the event that a course imposes a cancellation or non-attendance fee, notification will be stated prominently on the registration form, and you will be charged accordingly. Please contact us with extenuating circumstances. You may substitute another person from your institution to attend the class in your place.
Cancellation due to inclement weather, trainer illness, or emergency
Scheduled classes may be cancelled with less than one week notice in case of unforeseen events or emergencies.
